    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Generally good value for money. Runs efficiently and will take uni-parts making the upkeep cheaper.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very good fuel economy compared to other similar sized cars. Does a good 40-45 MPG. The only flaw is that the front tyres do tend to wear out.

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Be prepared for the engine to seem noisey in 1st and 2nd, but once at speed the engine hums quietly and it's an enjoyable ride.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Nippy out of the first couple of gears, but a much steadier acceleration in the upper gears; Makes for a safe drive!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Pretty reliable. It starts well (first time) on a cold morning and mine hasn't broken down yet!

Compared to models of the same year (ie. Fiesta), it still looks pretty modern.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

You need to spend a few minutes getting the seat position just right. On long journeys, without the seat right, you tend to get out of the car with a stiff back.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Pretty secure. Automatic wheel-lock, immobiliser, and stereo security codes help a lot.

    Service

    4 out of 5 4.0

Vauxhall garages do tend to be a bit pricy, but as a company they do keep the car up-to-date with recalls for modifications to bits and pieces.
