Value
Pricy as new, but excellent value second hand. The best diesel you can buy for its age.
Costs
Generally good value, but some diesel-specific parts (e.g. alternator) are expensive.

Enthusiastic cornering is possible, but requires practice. High centre of gravity doesn't help the wobblyness.
Performance
Lovely tug from long 1st gear. Ecomony excellent, even when you run it ragged.

Mixed; Not a single problem in 2.5 years, but constant problems in the 8 months following.

Well I reckon the 3 door version looks beautiful, and people let you out at junctions, so it can't be bad.

Comfy, but no car I've ever been in would get a 5.
