It said my daughter needed a small car which was cheap and easy to run.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

"It's costing a fortune, get rid while the scrappage scheme's on".

Would you buy this car again and why?

    No. Once bitten twice shy.

What are you likely to buy next?

    We bought a Micra. Brilliant.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £1,895

When did you buy the car?

    October 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

As it turned out, no. The car was a plug. I bought it when it was six years old and it had already had four previous owners. More fool me for not examining the log book before buying the car. I put it down to experience.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My daughter had just passed her test and wanted a car no larger than the Fiesta which she learned to drive in.

    What was the dealer like?

Seemed ok at the time but while they carried out the necessary cosmetic repairs to the vehicle they didn't sort out the timing chain as they said they would. They were later prosecuted for selling a dangerous vehicle.

    What's it like to drive?

It was my daughters car, I didn't drive it. She never said anything negative about its handling though.

    What's it like to park?

    Easy apparantly.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Shortly after the warranty ran out the clutch linkage had to be replaced. The garage I took it to said this was a known fault on this model. The replacement linkage was made of plastic, quality or what? Later the timing chain had to be replaced as it had stretched and there was a constant problem with the engine fault light coming on. After spending £££ to get that fixed to no avail my daughter lost all confidence in the car so we traded it in under the scrappage scheme.

What's most practical about your car?

It's small size meant it was easy for my daughter to drive and park. That's about it really.
