Value
Got a decent deal for mine. , free insurance too. Get something good looking but avoid the big toys - they cost too much and depreciation's going to hurt.
Costs
Depreciation? OK running costs, 550+ miles to a tank, long service intervals.

On the road
Driving
Good car... handles OK, no ride problems. Steering wheel controls good and everything within easy reach. Fussy intermittent wiper timer. Handbrake weak, maybe that's just mine.
Performance
Pulls harder than a 1.216v thanks to lots of torque, but only when the turbo wakes up.

10,000 on the clock, not a problem yet.

Get black and it looks good, doesn't need to be boy-racered. Not imaginative, might get lost in a car park.
Comfort
Overall good, and I drive a lot. Handbrake is a bit of a yank though. Everything light and easy to use, no squeaks or rattles.

In theory good, has immobiliser and deadlocks. In practice I don't know and don't want to find out.

Insurance mix-up, otherwise seem ok. First service will reveal all.
