Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I don't care what car I have and that I am only interested in getting from A-B in a blandmobile.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Mum thinks its fine because she doesn't see the need for any more power. Dad shares my views. Friends hate it compared to my Astra.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Never. Would only accept one as a gift so I could sell it and put money towards a VXR.
What are you likely to buy next?
06-10 Pate Astra VXR. Cant get it soon enough.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
May 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
No idea. I was nothing to do with the process.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
None at all. The car was chosen on a 3 year lease by predecessor. When I took the job last year i had to have the car until the lease runs out and I had to give up my current car (56 Plate Astra SXI in a nice spec).
What was the dealer like?
No idea again, but I've since been into the Vauxhall dealer for a number of reasons and i have had mixed experiences. Ok when fixing issues. I went into the dealer to look at options for when the car expires (looking for used Astra VXR in particular as my previous Astra was a lovely car. I have got no quarrels with Vauxhall as a brand.) I spoke to a guy and asked if they had any VXR's and he said... "Nope"... How often do you get them in?... "Dunno"... What do you think I should do?... "...Just check the forecourt for them i guess"... Useless.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Awful. No power, have to use your right foot so much that it becomes no more efficient that faster cars. Under steer is woeful. Body roll is atrocious. Have to rev the nuts of it to get any power. dull loud noise from engine due to no 6th gear and road noise on long journeys.
What's it like to park?
Ok, no problems here.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Has it ever. All of the A/C vent directors bar the drivers door side have broken. The heater stopped working as soon as winter rolled around. Have a frustrating tapping from the engine bay at below 2000RPM that sounds like a jackhammer in the distance. The AUX in jack doesn't work. Alot for a 2 year old car. These are all existing problems from when I took over the car last year.
What's most practical about your car?
If i was forced to comment it would be the 4th and 5th doors even though they make it look not as good as the 3 door. If I had the choice i would choose the 3 door and not look back about the practicality.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Would be the AUX in port if it worked...
