    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

2.2 petrol is thirsty. Only managed 21-23 MPG. Only servicing costs in first 3 yrs, HOWEVER, head gasket went one week out of warranty! - £980 to fix.

  • On the road

    Driving

    2 out of 5 2.0

Useful off-road (especially with LS Diff). Not bad for a chassis/cab vehicle, but not on par with modern 4x4s.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

16v engine needs high revs to get performance, to detriment of fuel consumption.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

Reasonable. No issues in first 3 years, but head gasket went 3 days after end of waranty, giving £980 bill to repair. Thankfully Vauxhall paid 80% after some 'discussions', as engine had only done 18K miles.

    Reasonable. Good room in front.
