    Sensible, level headed...

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They love it! Although I always get... "Whats a Signum...?"

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would buy this car again, but would probably look at the 3.0 CDTI V6 Elite.

What are you likely to buy next?

Either another Signum, Vectra C, Mondeo or I'll wait for a new Insignia.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £5,000

When did you buy the car?

    March 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

I bought my Signum from a VX garage in Essex. They had it listed on Ebay and Autotrader for £6000. When I got to the show room, I simply went in, had a test drive, AA inspection, HPI and milage check, offered them £5000 and I drove it away 4 hours later. (After they had given it a full service, MOT and 30days insurance and 3 months warranty)

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted a decent sized car with as many toys as possible on a low budget.

    What was the dealer like?

Excellent! Could not of been more useful. They knew all the answers to all my questions and didnt try to fob me off. They gave it a full service, MOT, paid for the HPI/Milage check and then... even paid for my AA inspection!!

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Being a design model, the rides a little firm, but doesnt leave you sore. The pulling away speed and power is excellent, the 2.0T engine is the one to have. If driven sensibly, the car easily returns 45MPG+ on the motorway and 30ish MPG in town, you just need to watch you right foot as it does like to go. The cabin space is huge, and well designed.

    What's it like to park?

With the built in park-pilot, sensors front and rear, there's not really an issue, although looking out the back could be a problem...

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Nothing!

What's most practical about your car?

The space, comfort and driving position.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The built in SatNav and front/rear parking sensors rank high up there, but the cruise control is a God send. The ESP Plus, Cornering assistant and Traction control are great tools too.
