Vauxhall Tigra 1994-

  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Special edition model - good equipment specs, electrics, air con, power steering, alloys

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

For a Vauxhall, I am surprised that the dealer charges are quite high esp compared to a Toyota. Insurance, Tax and Petrol good.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Handles well. Nice car to drive. Nice acceleration for size of vehicle and engine

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

MPG very good and acceleration good. Motorway driving is fun and pulls away very well.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Starts every time and no problems with any engine parts

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Looks good. Additional styling kits look great.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not the best. Drivers seat doesn't offer lumbar support but they are bucket style. Needs better support. Everything else fine.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Double dead-locks on doors. Alarm. Immobilizer. Would be quicker for thief to break into different model.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

I have visited various Vauxhall dealers and only the Sales people are happy (obviously!) service and parts are more expensive then first realized. Running costs are not different to a Toyota/Honda anymore and they are much better build quality.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

    Perfect. Shines like new.

    Other

Double deadlock broke once (common so Vauxhall advise me) so was repaired. Also just had the driver air vent flap collapse (also common they say!) Added official mud flaps and appear to be difficult to fit so would need dealer to do this.

    Ownership

Did you buy the car new?

    Used

Would you buy the same model again?

    Yes

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?

    Yes
