  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

I'm not afraid to drive a Vectra!?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Friends are impressed by it, shakes off its Clarkson induced Vauxhall badge stigma rather well once they’ve been out in it! Faster then pretty much all the cars my friends drive so gets a fair bit of respect. Styling is fairly tasteful but some jump to the conclusion I’ve modified it myself, but the reception is usually positive. People have said it looks quite aggressive in their rear view mirror!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. It's a good car, it's got a great engine and handles and performs excellently and can be had for very little money. It's fairly cheap to run, especially considering the engine and peformance.

What are you likely to buy next?

Later shape Vectra, 3.2 V6 GSi or hopefully a VXR. But definatley a Vectra.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Excellent, and not to be confused with other Vectras of the same era. Smooth torquey V6, responsive handling and supportive Recaros make it great fun, especially considering the cost.

    What's it like to park?

Not bad, I find the small mirrors and low down postion make it hard to judge the edge of car though.

Have you had any problems with the car?

No. Occasionally hesitates when starting, could be the ignition pack.

What's most practical about your car?

Combination of performance, practicality and relative economy. Will get 31mpg+ pottering about, around 27mpg giving it some stick and will return 35mpg on a cruise. Huge boot!
