Good value on the build quality / equipment front. Average in most other aspects.

Not the cheapest for parts and servicing. Fuel consumption just about ok at around 35mpg.

Handles well, good brakes and slick gearchange.
Performance
A bit disappointing for a 2-litre - revving it hard is a game of diminishing returns. Irritatingly noisy at speed.

Good for driver / front passenger. Rear legroom is pretty appaling - VW could have sacrificed some of that huge boot space to improve matters.
