In their own words

My first (and definitely not my last) electric car. Everything that is good about the VW Golf, in an electric version. It is convenient, reliable and the running costs are nothing short of buttons. I charge my car mainly at home on a 5p per KWH tariff. It drives really well, even tough it is heavier lower down than a petrol/diesel Golf. It feels planted and sure on the road, and the comfort level is as you'd expect from VW. Excellent. If you are considering driving electric, need a car than can whizz around on short journeys, yet is still capable of putting the miles in (the charging network is getting better all the time), then there are enough really good, low mileage vehicles around to take your pick from. I'd recommend going for a fully specced e-Gold with Pro Navigation (10" screen) - and if you can find one, an e-Golf with a heat pump, as this is where winter mileage will suffer. However, don't just focus on range. Just a different mindset with an EV.
