Volkswagen Golf Estate (2009 - 2013) 1.6 TDI (105bhp) BlueMotion Tech SE (Start Stop) 5d Owner Review

Good car, drives well. Done 11k miles in it so far. Have been using shell v power diesel for about 6k miles. It makes it have a bit more performance, but it's no racing car with a 1.6 tdi engine, engine is nice and refined overall. I get about 54 mpg average out of a tank. Have managed to get 62.7 mpg and a range of 671 miles on tank on a trip to Cornwall. Nice light steering and easy to drive I find. So easy to drive around town and ok on the motorway. Overall I would recommend the car if you need a car with a big boot. Maybe I would look at buying the 2.0 tdi for the next car, as 1.6 tdi bluemotion isn't as economical as it should be on paper ( then what is these days?) Overall good mpg for size of car really, nice to drive.
