In their own words

I have owned a 1.5 TSI 150 bhp R Line version from new and have been very happy with it. It is very easy drive with very good fuel economy - 59 mpg on a 450 mile motorway trip this summer and getting over 50mpg in colder months. Engine is powerful enough to overtake comfortably.

Handling is reasonable but not outstanding. Very calm cruiser but not a car to throw about on the country roads, although sports suspension in the R Line means that there is no meaningful body roll in corners.

Road noise insulation is decent whilst the Nexens tyres that came with the car have offered a good mix of grip and durability. The front sports seats are very comfortable as are the seats in the rear.

Biggest plus is the room in the interior. I am 6ft 4 and have plenty of headroom whilst there is room for an adult to sit behind me. Boot of 611 litres makes it great for holidays, large shopping trips and transporting a Labrador. The size of the car means that it is not as difficult to park compared with some bigger estate cars.

Infotainment system is responsive and haptic steering wheel controls are not as bad as professional reviewers make out. You get used to them. The lack of lighting on display unit volume control at night is a bit of a pain but you can control from your steering wheel. Apple Car Play works flawlessly which I use all the time.

The amount of kit on this car as standard compared with my previous Audi is great. Adaptive cruise control, auto hold and front and rear parking sensors are brilliant whilst the cabin quality does not feel cheap. Very good digital cockpit with plenty of display options. Would have liked folding wing mirrors and matrix LED headlights that are on the Style model.

Overall, I am very happy with this car and would buy it again.
