What does this car say about you?
I want it to say I am doing quite well in life but that I am not trying too hard.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone seems to admire it. Probably helped by the rave reviews the car has received everywhere.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, there is nothing else on sale that I would want instead.
What are you likely to buy next?
Nothing. I'll keep the GTI as long as its reliable.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Price was good compared to the new price I think but there was no deal to be had. He knew that he could sell it all day long at the advertised price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a "hot hatch" and this looked the best package for my needs. They look fantastic too.
What was the dealer like?
He stood his ground on the price but knew it was a good and fair price.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Superb! Very quick when you want it to be. You can be lazy in it too as it picks up well in almost all gears, although 6th can be asking too much from very low revs. Anything above 1800-2000rpm and its away.
What's it like to park?
No problems.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing since I've had it. Some odd noises on start up (sounds a bit like a diesel) and when you have switched it off (sounds like a fan running which isn't the radiator fan) but they are supposed to make these noises. (Direct injection and Turbo cooling)
What's most practical about your car?
Its a 5 door family sized car which is very smooth, comfortable and refined. Its also a quick and surefooted hot hatch when thats what you want. The package as a whole delivers everything I could need in a car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
This is probably the closure system meaning you can open / close the windows from the key. Good for posing.
