I am cool.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Friends liked it. Family disliked it because it was quite noisy. Neighbours disliked it for much the same reason.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely a Mk2, but I'd go for a GTI.

What are you likely to buy next?

I bought a Volvo after scrapping it. I couldn't bring myself to sell it to someone who wouldn't like it as much as me.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yeah, 124k with Full VW Service History and in immaculate condition for £450? I wish I could find one like that again.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It was up for a good price, in good condition and had roof bars which for some reason appealed to me.

What's it like to drive?

Fantabulastic. Really good fun on corners if a little wallowy at times, driving on the motorway was a little noisy but I just used to turn the volume on the radio up.

What's it like to park?

Once you've got used to not having power steering it's a doddle.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Clutch, some hose clips broke, front shock absorbers. Little bits like that.

What's most practical about your car?

Roof bars? I don't know really, I didn't need practicality at the time so didn't notice.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Wind down windows, seriously, these should be standard fit on all cars again.
