    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

    Very good value for money.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Quite cheap, apart from insurance. Good DIY car.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Drives well, even when the miles are building up. Could do with power steering.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

I fitted a Webber carb to mine which made a huge difference. Will sit at 110mph all day long. Not bad for engine size.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Be picky when buying. There are lots around. Done 17,000 miles last year and just needed a set of brakes.

    4 out of 5 4.0

Not bad for the age. Just add a set of alloys.

    Comfort

    1 out of 5 1.0

I find it very comfy - did a 600 mile drive to Germany in one day, no problems.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    2 out of 5 2.0

Came with nothing. Still quite a target for thieves. Door locks very weak - get an armour door plate and a Cat2 immobiliser.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

I use GSF for parts - very reasonable. If you go to the dealer, they have to special order the parts most of the time due to the age of the car. I find the parts staff very helpful.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Auto choke plays up. Dump it and get a Webber. I find it likes good quality oil.

    Other

What a good car. Buy a good one and it will out last you.

    Ownership

Did you buy the car new?

    Used

Would you buy the same model again?

    Yes

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?

    Yes
