Yes - currently in the market for another similar vehicle - although I've had the aforementioned problems it's still the best car I've owned, superb power with 50mpg

Not particularly as they seemed to be holding their price well and low mileage examples were hard to come by

What's it like to drive?

Fantastic. Bags of power, feels almost like a petrol turbo at times. Overtaking on the motorway is an absolute pleasure. Never really tested it out but was never too confident with the standard handling of the car - I have now fitted lowered suspension although this has had a very detrimental effect on ride quality.

What's it like to park?

Fine

Have you had any problems with the car?

Both window regulators have broken in the 2.5 yrs I've owned it (£190 each if you get it fixed at VW) and the glove box catch has broken which I have fixed myself although this wasn't a simple job. The metal loop on the key fob has broken on both mine and a friend's Golf.
