Value
Fully loaded with sat nav, grand prix wheels etc. My car looks great but was £21k; that's a lot of money for a Golf.
Costs
Great mpg, some teething problems meant some expense in the first six months.

Driving
A great drive, VW have taken the grin factor back off Ford.
Performance
The 2.0 TDI is a fantastic engine and is getting smoother by the day. Not quite a hot hatch but very, very warm.

Initial teething problems worried us but all seems well in the last 8 months

3 door GT, in silver, with big alloys and the VW badge... a very commented on car.
Comfort
Have done 900 miles in a day on it and felt fine.

Starter motor failed unexpectedly six months in.
Other
Door seals came away and had to be replaced twice. Some ill-fitting trim on dash also had to be replaced.
