Volkswagen Golf R (2014 - 2016) 2.0 TSI R Hatchback 5d Owner Review

The Golf R is the best car I have ever owned in 45 years of motoring.It is perfectly usable as an every day car but gives immense pleasure and satisfaction whenever I drive it.You have to drive the R to actually realise in every day driving how quick it is and how good the handling and road holding are.The fact that it has 4 wheel drive is a bonus making this a very safe car indeed.The ride is actually quite good for such a sporting car as is the refinement.The fuel consumption has varied between 32 and 38 depending on the types of roads driven on.I have only had the car for a few weeks but todate there have no reliability or build quality issues.If your budget can stretch to it then I can thoroughly recommend the Golf R - you will not be disappointed.
