Economy
Value
For an expensive car, I feel it's the badge that we are paying for and the reputation of VW quality, which doesn't seem to be there anymore. Poor trim, electrics, radio works when it feels like it.
Costs
Luckily mine is leased. I wouldn't want to own it due to the number of faults with electric windows and central locking packing up, trim falling off and both glove boxes breaking and sticking up in the air on top of the dashboard.

On the road
Driving
It feels like a good quality car to drive, but it's numerous faults and overall quality lets it down. Blue dials are lovely at night though.
Performance
It's not bad for a big vehicle. Better once it's going. Pull away isn't all that great.

Reliability
Engine: Good so far. Electric windows go wrong, don't go up or go the wrong way and then stop completely, and this has been a VW problem for years. Remote has stopped closing the windows. Hinge on remote key breaks and the VW scratches off it quickly.

Front looks classy. The back lights of the old model looked better to me. Privacy windows look good.
Comfort
Seats and steering are adjustable, but too firm and lack support. Feels like a Transit to drive unless I put the seat lower. Not comfortable after driving it for a few hours.

Built in alarm goes off sometimes. No-one's tried to nick it.
Service
VW deny windows and trim are common problems. Dealers are hopeless. Book it in to have faults fixed and they don't order the parts in, then it has to go in again. Lack of attention to detail.

Reliable. No problems.

Rear seats are awkward to remove and replace. Glove box hinges broke, VW want to fit a whole new dashboard. Built in aerial is rubbish. Key hangs down and looks tatty due to hinge breaking. Overall, disappointed in VW on this one.
