In their own words

I’ve just replaced my 2 years old Ford Puma Titanium with the TCross DSG. I was happy to replace the Ford with another but was quoted September for delivery! I waited 4 weeks for the VW. Prices were similar although the VW was a tad more expensive.
Likes: ride, upright position, economy, noise suppression, solid build, ICE . Above all though I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by the road holding, sitting very comfortably on the motorway as well as pottering about my local country lanes. The boot is well sized and it’s cavernous with the seats folded.
So so : the Ford Puma is nippier (overtaking was easier) and frankly had more gizmos although we never used the box boot thing. The VW plastics are well..very plastic; our other car is a VW Tiguan and it’s interior is far superior - are VW standards slipping !?
The Ford was a fun car but something tells me that this will be more substantive without the Puma thrills. Just closing the door feels better. The Active spec is more than adequate although climate control and keyless start should be standard.
So far so good.
