In their own words

Should be easy to live with but let down by poor seats and obtrusive tech. Bought the car, like others, because of the raised driving position due to a spine problem and seemed like a good deal as the car was an ex-demo with low miles and lots of optional equipment (power tailgate, heated seats, digital dashboard) After living with it for a couple of months drivers the flaws in the drivers seat became apparent. The seats are flat with thin padding and soft side bolsters that give when leaned on. The drivers seat also is mounted towards then the centre of the vehicle, away from the door, making getting in more difficult. The result was just too much pain. It appears that the ‘comfort seat’ with lumbar support is only fitted on the lower spec SE and the R-line has a sports seat, it appears the Design model is a case of style over substance. Do check this out if comfort is important to you. I had to bite the bullet and have sold the car. In hindsight I would have avoided some of the extra tech also. Autonomous city breaking is somewhat alarming when it gives a false alert going around a twisty country lane and lane assist gets quite wearing on long journeys. The digital dashboard is a nice idea but disconcerting when the sat nav removes the speedo from the display (honest officer!). The power tailgate is easy to open but could never get it to close with anything other than then button on the tailgate. It would be much easier if it could be closed with the buttons on the key and drivers door that open it.
