In their own words

Great car - but really really let down for me by the substantial issue of "Kangarooing" - ie very very sticky and stuttering in 1st/pulling away and 2nd. It felt like I had to learn to drive all over again. Has apparently been an ongoing issue for many months which VW are aware of but for which currently (Feb 19) there is no fix for and they've kept very quiet about. Mine is really bad - prob made worse by my multiple, short trip driving and leaving near several big junctions early in the journey which has become quite scary and has meant I have to now drive it differently. With various reports of users having to have clutches replaced at mad 500 miles done, this worries me further. My car also has several complete "flat spots" where it appears to have nothing in the tank. I've been beeped and sworn at multiple times (and its still winter/windows are mainly down!) when pulling up a hill for example. A real shame as I find the car otherwise great to drive, it looks great and the handles otherwise really well. The specs and features are really excellent for the price, but for me its been totally ruined by the negative and I've returned it under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as it has a significant defect.
