In their own words

The car seems perfectly suited to my purposes. I need a vehicle which is agile, spacious, well equipped, economical and capable of towing a caravan. I hesitated to switch from my previous Golf Alltrack to an SUV but have found the Tiguan more comfortable, equally easy to drive, nearly as economical and more suited to towing. It is stable and quiet, compact enough to be convenient in town and only shows the tell tale rumble of a diesel on startup and at low speeds. The manual gearbox and electronic parking brake are excellent. Visibility is good and it is very well equipped with useful driver aids, including an excellent electronic dashboard display. So far the pandemic has limited my mileage and it has not been used for any long distance trips, which have previously made up more than half of the annual total, nor have I yet used it in four wheel dive mode but I have no regrets about buying it. Its Skoda and Seat siblings may be a little cheaper to buy but the Tiguan is better finished inside and likely to hold its value better.
