You can get a lot of car for your money here if you pick wisely. Lots of toys on higher spec models. The best engine is the D5 twin turbo diesel for those doing higher mileages. Avoid the single turbo, less power and strangely enough, less MPG. You can get around 45mpg. I've driven from Sheffield to West Wales on half a tank. The handling may feel a bit boatish, but it will adapt to your driving style, push it into the corners, use the weight of the car and you will be suprised what can be achieved. Remember, the Plod used these cars. Just make sure you have a set of decent tyres, avoid budget or it will feel like a hovercraft. Oh, and get it tracked by someone who knows what they are doing. I owned mine for 3 years and it never had a problem, just usual wear and tear. I could never find out exactly what bhp mine was, but it flew.
