It really is very uninspiring to drive. It is not very quick, it is very slow to decide which gear to use when you want to accelerate briskly, and the steering feel is just odd and inconsistent. To cap it all, it is really quite thirsty.
On the positive side, it is quite quiet, reasonably comfortable, and has decent build quality.
The worst part of owning it has been the customer care from 2 main dealers and Volvo UK. I have launched a formal complaint in that regard, so we shall see where that gets us....

Dealers are not in the slightest bit interested in fixing inherent design defects
