Value
Best option is to buy a 3 year old lovingly cared for, low mileage one from a sucker like me who bought new!
Costs
Main dealer services are not cheap so once it is out of warranty find a good local garage.

On the road
Driving
Don't turn the traction control off, because you will need it in the wet! It is easy to forget you are driving a diesel apart from you don't fill up too often. I think the breaks should be bigger though. For me, the breaking is not good enough though .
Performance
Plenty of torque low down in the revs. The performance is not the same as driving a sports car. But then again I didn't pay sports car money for it, so I have no complaints on what it delivers.

Probably the worst car I have had. It hasn't been great. Probably best to pick up a second hand one once all the problems sorted out by the original owner. Perhaps I just had a bad one, but there have been several problems in the first 12months of owne
