What does this car say about you?

That I care about how things look (style) and I am trying to be younger than I am.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It is a run around kept in garage so they don't really see the car or care.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No. It is a poor quality drive and ride quality diabolical. Perhaps Alfa fixed this? Test drive the car on cobbles but not if you have a bad back.

What are you likely to buy next?

Audi TT 2.0 FSi or 3.2 Quattro Roadster or a Porsche Boxter 3.2.

  • Driving it

    1 out of 5 1.0

    What's it like to drive?

The car set up is too harsh as if there is no suspension at all. Even a horse and kart is more comfortable. The bone jarring ride will make your teeth fall out and ruins any 'driving' experience. Car goes back July 2012 and I can't wait to see back of it. It is cheap motoring - but joyless. Wish I had gone for a Mini diesel.

    What's it like to park?

    Easy.

  • Living with it

    1 out of 5 1.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    - Bone jarring ride as if it has no suspension at all. You feel every bump. - Build quality suspect – loose plastic door handles, driver seat coming loose but dealer says not! Poor quality radio reception/CD - despite it being a ‘good’ brand (Blaupunkt) Electronics - tell you things are wrong when they are not. Suggested oil change at 100 miles! - The car is freezing – it takes 15 minutes for interior cabin to warm up and by that time I am at work and very very cold Sealant – car not water tight in so far as condensation builds inside windows. Inside of windows freeze in winter – not had that since the 1970s! When putting key in ignition for a fast start it takes a fair few seconds for the power steering to come on. Annoying!

What's most practical about your car?

The fact you never need to go to the garage to fill it up very often. It is very frugal managing up to high 60s MPG on longer journeys.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The winter drive mode does give some extra grip in winter time.
