In their own words

Pros: It was a good looker which is why I bought it. It also did me well in terms of petrol consumption, and for such a small car the boot wasn’t a bad size. And a dream to park - it had no parking sensors but for a car this size they weren’t really needed - you were guaranteed plenty of space even in the narrow car park spaces that our local council deem appropriate for most cars even though they don’t fit anything above a small hatch in. Cons: Filling up was a pain in the **** as you had to use the car key to unlock the interior petrol cap. It was sluggish at times and it’s looks promised so so much more than its performance. Very very hard drive indeed, certainly not good for journeys above half an hour. Interior really lets it’s down - it looks cheap and basic, and really let’s the exterior down. Air con is crap, and don’t expect a hasty set off on mornings when your windows are frosted over - it’ll be ages before your car is ready or safe to drive in terms of screen visibility and cabin warmth!

How reliable do you find the car?

Replaced cam belt as per Alfa advice as vehicle over 5 years old. Only serious problem was that steering column needed replacing due to electronically fault - a huge financial hit I certainly didn’t need.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Interior very basic, the air con/heating system was pretty poor. Audio system good, but it needed to be as there was little shield from engine or wind noise inside it.
