  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

    Smart.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Really like it. I've even had neighbours asking about it as they're looking at new cars and want something that isn't mainstream and over popular.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely. Ticked all my shopping list boxes. Equipment. Looks. Build quality. Comfort. Power/economy balance. 160bhp auto and getting 48mpg.

What are you likely to buy next?

Same if it's still available in 3 years time.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £12,495

When did you buy the car?

    December 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes. Car in perfect condition and was an Approved Citroen Select used car so all the benefits of buying a used Citroen from main dealer. (warranty, Road tax, breakdown cover etc).

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted an Auto diesel with good spec that wasnt a ford/vauxhall.

    What was the dealer like?

Useless, in my opinion. Finance got messed up, car wasn't ready to collect on agreed date (1 week after test drive). It was to get a parking scuff removed from rear bumper, took them over a week to do this! Had to chase dealer for warranty/breakdown info 8 weeks after buying car as still hadn't received. Ten weeks on from buying car I am now chasing the DVLA as the V5 reg doc still hasn't arrived. Reg doc not dealers prob but nonetheless all the dealings with them means i wont recommend the, buy from them again or allow them to maintain my car.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Brilliant. Smooth suspension. No engine noise in car. Six speed auto box extremely smooth and changes at appropriate times. Handles very well.

    What's it like to park?

Still getting used to this. Previous car was a Grand C4 Picasso with a flat back so easy to reverse. C5 is a saloon and boot not visible thru relatively shallow rear window.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    No. Perfect.

What's most practical about your car?

Excellent boot opening, despite being a saloon. Citroen have designed the rear window to be convex so this increases the opening size of the boot.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Lights that Corner with you. Rather than your lights pointing straight ahead as you corner, the C5 has extar lights that illuminate as you indicate below 25mph or turn the steering wheel into a bend. Surprisingl effective!
