What does this car say about you?

    I need a 7-seater but I don't like corduroy trousers and I still have a sex life.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it - it's not offensive in anyway. Don't feel like Public Enemy number 1 like I did in my old 4x4.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No - but only because I would want a change.

What are you likely to buy next?

An Audi RS6 Avant would be ideal.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £17,995

When did you buy the car?

    February 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

Got about 2 grand off the list price plus about £1,000 worth of extras thrown in for nothing - couldn't complain.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

7 seater with loads of power. The 2.5T S-Max says "I enjoy driving too much to buy a Galaxy or an Espace"...

    What was the dealer like?

Very good. They gave me everything I asked for. After sales service has been good from both Ford main dealers I have used.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

220 BHP Focus ST engine with a nice 6 speed manual box. Jogs along the motorway very easily with the Cruise Control on, or get it on a B-road and open the taps. This is a people carrier that is actually fun to drive.........

    What's it like to park?

Easy - front and rear parking sensors as standard. But it is longer and wider than the old shape Galaxy, so some smaller spaces don't fit.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Nothing that's worth a mention.

What's most practical about your car?

7 seats with Ford's patented Fold Flat System makes it the most practical car I have ever owned. Takes me, the wife and 5 kids with no trouble - or you can drop the seats and chuck a double wardrobe in the back.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Puddle lights are very cool. Handsfree Bluetooth is a good bit of kit. 6 disc in-dash CD changer gets a thumbs up too.
