What does this car say about you?

I am more Tesco than Waitrose, even though I paid Lidl money!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Nice, lovely blue ... and what sort of car is it? A Hyundia? Oh, I thought it was a Vauxhall / Peugeot / Renault.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would buy again after s few years when Hyundia will have sorted the town ride and ditched the poor front seat head rests. It will then be a class leader.

What are you likely to buy next?

An electric or hybrid car, I think this will be my last petrol/oil burning vehicle

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £6,350

When did you buy the car?

    July 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Scrappage deal meant I got a new car with a 5 year warranty rather than the equivalent car, typically a Corsa 1.2 one year old with 12k miles and only 2 years left of the manufacturers warranty fot the same money.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Great scrappage deal brought the base price down to £5999 on the road. Good size well specified supermini for city car money, plus that 5 years warranty of course.

    What was the dealer like?

    Local and friendly

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Not an exciting small car to drive due mainly to the dull electic power steering. However the brilliant and flexible engine is a joy and is good for both town and motorway driving. Jiggly town ride and poorly designed headrests spoil what would otherwise be a a close competitor to the Fiesta.

    What's it like to park?

Three door has poor rear quarter vision due to the styling/restricted rear side windows. Be careful in busy supermarket car parks, pedestrians can be hidden in the blind spots.
