Other Hyundai i30 (2007 - 2012) models:

  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

I may be 60 years old, and my three sons say I should buy something more mainstream or sporty, but they all agree that they can't knock the car for any other reason than it's a Hyundai. Silly boys but they'll grow up.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Family (except my three sons) think my choice of car is extremely sensible and that I have a good eye for a value for money. Family member also got one after seeing and driving mine.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely, it's never missed a beat, it's very comfortable and it's had lots of very good comments.

What are you likely to buy next?

I will be buying the newer version of the i30.

After reading very good reviews, also safety features especially electronic stabillity and traction, etc.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very sure footed and gearing is suited to town driving, but also causes me no problems at legal or just above motorway speeds.

    What's it like to park?

No problems but I do tend to rely on parking sensors.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Never once regretted buying our i30. Only had one small problem with a door catch which was sorted under warranty.

What's most practical about your car?

Having 5 doors (previous car 3 door), cabin located fuel cap release, can't understand why all manufacturer don't fit this, and also heated door mirrors.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Heated door mirrors and parking sensors but tend to rely on them maybe too much.
