Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

Reliable. Well built. Not ugly. Ours was a premium model with full heated leather and 17" wheels so looked fairly sporty. I understand the larger wheels effect the ride quality but I can't compare and have no complaints. The seating position is quite a high and the steering a little light for my tastes but some might not be concerned. Overall a good pragmatic buy if your not a badge snob who wants to keep costs and hassle to a minimum while keeping quality high.

How reliable do you find the car?

This car was almost perfect mechanically. Apart from annual servicing and consumables nothing much was needed. A suspension bush wore out. A spark plug worked loose and needed replacing. The biggest problem was that it occasionally took two attempts to start which turned out to be due to a faulty crank position sensor. That's it.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

The way it drives is pretty unexceptional. Nothing to complain about but not exactly thrilling either. Better built than the Auris. I once drove a Chevrolet Cruze from the same era. That was awful. It tried to kill me. The i30 is a great "white goods" car that won't let you down.
