In their own words

We bought the Kona car after owning a BMW i3 Range Extender for 4 years. The Kona is much better equipped in comparison and for less money. Moreover, the range being close to 300 miles in the Summer was a big leap forward. The Kona's creature comforts of heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, lane keep assist and active cruise control make this a very comfortable and practical car as a daily driver. Space in the boot and rear seats is limited compared to some competitors but we've found it perfectly adequate. The acceleration is good, although the power in a front wheel drive car can lead to wheel spin off the mark if over enthusiastic with the right foot! The extra weight of the bigger battery is largely offset by the low centre of gravity when cornering. The paddle operated regeneration is great to use and almost eliminates the use of brakes, particularly when used in conjunction with the Auto Recuperation system. The car has had a number of recalls for Battery Management System issues which is inconvenient, but none of these impacted our use or enjoyment of the car. In my view, one of the best, if not the best, EVs at this price point.
