Summary
What does this car say about you?
To a car buff - that I like a car that's fun to drive. To everyone else, that I'm having a late mid life crisis!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Like it, its cute. Women seem to like it, especially.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I probably would. I forgot to mention the gearbox can get stiff, which is a real pain. But its a fun car, feels great to get in and better still to drive. And with the hood up its actually fairly quiet and a warm car. But I prefer it with the hood off as much as poss. That's what convertibles are for.
What are you likely to buy next?
If I sold it, I might go for an older Merc SL. Another convertible, anyway. As a second car, its great to drive around with the top off.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I thought so at the time - price was lower than elsewhere. Not much haggle room. Got 6 mths tax and 3 mths free warranty.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had a Camaro with T Tops before and I wanted a proper convertible that was fun to drive.
What was the dealer like?
Usual 2nd hand car dealer. Charming, smooth.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fabulous. Needs working hard to feel "fast" and it took a while to get used to letting it rev to 3-4k rpm before changing gear. Great to drive on twisty roads. Feels faster than it is - its so much fun it doesn't matter.
What's it like to park?
Ok with the hood down. Not easy at all with the hood up.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I got peppered with rock salt from a gritter lorry the day after I bought it. Paint finish is shoddy as I have white spots all over where the undercoat has been exposed. Paintwork (black) I think has got worse since I bought it leading me to believe the dealer covered it in a black polish to conceal the worst bits.
What's most practical about your car?
The hood, the 6 spd gearbox, the heated seats and aircon in winter.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
In good weather - the hood. Very easy to operate. In cold weather, the heated seats!
