In their own words

The new GLA is a huge improvement on the old one. It is larger, and the ride and handling are much better. I have the 250e, plug in hybrid, and I can't fault it. It is smooth to drive, comfortable for driver and passengers and great MPG. It uses largely electric only on short journeys but the petrol kicks in when needed. After driving 100 miles over the first few days I only used 2 miles worth of fuel. I am currently charging it at home on a 3 pin (while I wait for the fast charger to be installed) and a 0-100% charge takes around 5.5 hours. It's got enough bhp to give you confidence overtaking and joining motorways. The steering is very light so great for urban driving. The cabin is lovely, lots of tech features, soft touch interior and storage. You do lose some boot space due to the electric version, but it is still more than adequate for a small SUV. There's plenty of space in the front and back seats. The only small thing lacking is a rear armrest. To get a small hybrid SUV with the quality of finish, refined engine and comfortable ride for under £40k is really good value. I've owned VWs, Minis, Toyotas, Audis and Mercedes in the past - this is by far my favourite car. If you're looking for a fast sporty SUV, this is not the car for you. If you want a reliable, high spec, high quality comfortable SUV then this is definitely a contender.
