  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Someone who still wants a bit of fun, but is happy to trade badge snobbery and image for something more sensible and easy to live with day to day.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Wife not keen on looks, sure my friends will laugh after my previous car, but hey... This car is a real catch in my opinion. A 59 plate supermini with toys galore, 147bhp turbo motor, 0-60 in 7.5 secs and the Ralliart name? For just £5,495! Future classic springs to mind!!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Nope, but only because I never buy same vehicle twice.

What are you likely to buy next?

Similar pocket rocket. 500 Abarth or summat. Big cars just don't do it for me anymore.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £5,495

When did you buy the car?

    February 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

Managed to do a straight swap for my Civic. Ralliart came with new MOT, 6 months tax and warranty. only covered 35k miles with full Mitsi s/history and had same level of kit plus comparable performance. No brainer!!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted to change my 2007 Civic Type R for something easier to live with. Saw this and was intrigued. Plus these are quite rare in comparison.

    What was the dealer like?

Very helpful. MOTEC Haverfordwest. Would definitely recommend.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Little pocket rocket!! Pulls well thru the gears and never runs out of puff. Only real problem is gearbox which is rubbery and vague. Ride is firm, but is far less crashy than Type R.

    What's it like to park?

Very easy. Nice and small with good visibility and turning circle.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

No, early days but am quite confident.

What's most practical about your car?

Good visibility. A doddle to drive. Nice supportive seats.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Cruise control, I-pod jack and rain-sensing wipers, plus all the usual toys.
