    Value

    3 out of 5 3.0

Extremely high specification, but £30K plus for a Renault felt steep.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Insurance and servicing not cheap, but fuel consumption very respectable especially if driven with restraint.

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Superb motorway cruiser with good, punchy (if unspectacular) performance, though my wife finds it unwieldy around town.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Given the size of the vehicle, pretty good, especially once on the move. Cannot complain. Easily capable of licence-threatening speeds if you feel the need.......

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

My slight doubt. Seems okay, but i have had a couple of minor problems (fixed free under warranty).

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

I like the image - classy but not ostentatious, and everyone who gets in it comments upon how good the ambience is, even an associate who drives an ML Mercedes. My teenage children prefer travelling in it than the Merc, so the image cannot be that bad!

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Absolutely brilliant. Best seats I have ever sat in, and that includes my wife's Mercedes.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Seems very good. Not as likely to be targeted as cars made by the high-rent manufacturers, nor as likely to be targeted by jealous vandals.

    Service

    4 out of 5 4.0

Generally good, though one dealership seemed to struggle with a warranty repair on the suspension. I simply took it to another dealership, who fixed it without any problem.

  • Problems and Ownership

Minor suspension niggle, and faulty hazard switch. Otherwise fine.
