Value
This is my first car and I paid £350 second hand as it had a dent in the passenger door. Managed to knock the dent out, but car is not in the best shape.
Costs
Get about 50mpg, £40 to fill up. Brilliant!

On the road
Driving
Easy to drive with power steering. Nice gearbox. Handles well, even in the wet, sluggish with 5 people in.
Performance
Sluggish with 5 people in. Lack of acceleration in 3rd, slow up hills in 3rd, but goes well once you get up to speed. Performs well on the motorway.

No problems so far, starts every morning.

Looks better than the Fiesta I would have got if I had not found this Megane.
Comfort
Very nice seats. Lots of room in the back. Large boot.

No alarm or immobiliser. Not sure how easy it would be to get into.
