  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

An anonymous item really - just like all the other Leons unless you're a petrol head and can spot the difference. Who cares though when it drives the way it does.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I nice family run about. They think the brakes are too fierce if they drive it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, definitely. A practical, economical car which is exciting to drive.

What are you likely to buy next?

Leon Cupra or Subaru Impreza or BMW 530

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

This is an excellent car to drive with tremendous pulling power and no turbo lag. The brakes are horribly over servo assisted though; more like a brake switch! The A pillars are pretty thick too, hiding cars at some junctions.

    What's it like to park?

The Cupra is easy to park compared to the saloons I've had previously. This is because there's no boot behind the rear windscreen.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

No. but a badly fitted exhaust clap created an unusual rattle when driving below 30 mph

What's most practical about your car?

The car is roomy and feels very solidly built.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The wipers! They are normally stored vertically by the A pillar, sweeping down towards the centre to clear the rain. Both people in the front seat get a god view in the rain
