Skoda Octavia Hatchback (2004 - 2012) 1.9 TDI PD Ambiente 5d Owner Review

I'm sure my review wouldn't be arroved if I spoke my mind. 21 in 2009 young and stupid 2 years old car half price but 128k on it for around £7500 inc all the intrest. Everyone said don't get it but young you know best. First 12 months I was made up proved everyone wrong looked great drove great good mpg think the only fault was If I recall a broken screen wash pipe. THEN I drove home from work one evening the dash started shaking sounded rough after paying a few garages to look at it the pick up pipe from the sump to the cam shaft wasn't doing it's job causing the camshaft to be stavedof oil nearly a month off the road I couldn't sell it due to owing more than it was worth so a nice 1k bill for a new camshaft water pump and belt. Few months after no problem then winter came regularly wouldn't start on a cold day regularly needed parts Eventually i just bit the bullet at 157k the turbo on the mway past 50mph wasn't kicking in soit actually cost me around £1700 to get rid for a 1.8 55reg vauxhall vectra in April 2012. Yes older and less eccomical but no regrets. Heared fantastic reviews been in taxis over 300k on feel great but I was very unlucky never again newest most expensive and the worst. I now have a 03 reg vectra 1.8 16v saloon it runs rings round it. I've even checked it's mot and tax expired 2012 so I must had been it's last driver!
