What does this car say about you?

    I can't afford a Range Rover!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It's OK, but my wife won't drive it because of the notchy gear change.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Unfortunately not. There is now a greater choice of good SUV's.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Probably the new Seat Leon.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £6,000

When did you buy the car?

    April 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

I doubt I got a good deal, but they had the car I wanted. However, some parts were missing (boot floor and a headrest) and the alternator belt was worn so I had to return to the dealership for rectification.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    To cope with our winters!

    What was the dealer like?

The dealership was in a state of flux as they had moved and were in a temporary office which was very cramped and messy.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

I was surprised it didn't have more power and low down torque. It does struggle sometimes. I much preferred the V6 engine in my previous Grand Vitara.

    What's it like to park?

No problems, but it is quite wide for the average supermarket car park and you must remember the spare wheel tucked on the rear!

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing so far, it has been very reliable in the 12,000 miles I have driven it.

What's most practical about your car?

Excellent vision due to its height and the permanent 4 wheel drive gives great traction.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Dog guard!
