    £13,800

When did you buy the car?

    April 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

It was as cheap as I could find anywhere for a 1 year old model with only 7,000 miles on the clock.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted some extra peace of mind in winter months and also fed up with the state of our roads. The Vitara's tougher suspension should help cope with this.

    What was the dealer like?

    Ok.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

It sat at 70 mph all the way home from the dealership (~400 miles) and didn't feel tiring with the cruise control on. Day-to-day, the lofty driving position helps me see over hedges on the country roads where I stay. Its controls are light and easy to use.

    What's it like to park?

Easy. No rear wheel on the back door so I now the car stops just after the rear window. The bonnet is easy to judge making forward parking easy too.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Nothing to date.

What's most practical about your car?

The tough suspension and good ground clearance makes it easy to navigate poor road surfaces.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

It is nice to have a fully openable sunroof again. My last car's only tilted.
