Other Vauxhall Insignia (2009 - 2017) models:

  • Summary

    2 out of 5 2.0

What does this car say about you?

    Nothing really.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it looks nice. Family members don't find the back particularly comfortable on long journeys.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely not. Dealers make out they are built like a BMW. My last 2 cars were BMW, and this is nothing like them! Build quality is very poor, and dealers are not well enough trained & equipped to work on them.

What are you likely to buy next?

Back to BMW or Audi; I never should have left them.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    September 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Thought I did at the time. After 3 months I'm not so sure

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I needed an automatic diesel estate. I was told these were a good buy.

    What was the dealer like?

OK, but he couldn't find the car I wanted. After he said the car I wanted couldn't be got, I had to find it myself on Network Q.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Comfortable ride. Performance OK, but runs out of steam above 60MPH. Auto box quite smooth, makes long journeys a pleasure.

    What's it like to park?

OK as long as you have parking sensors. rear visibility in Touring is quite poor. If you are buying a touring, make sure you have them.

  • Living with it

    1 out of 5 1.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Plenty! Electronics playing up, trim coming adrift, parts are also very slow coming through. The list goes on and on...

What's most practical about your car?

The boot, but then that's why I bought it.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Parking sensors.
