Vauxhall Mokka Electric review (2023)

In their own words

The Mokka Electric functions brilliantly as a second car for us. It looks great, drives neatly, is very refined and comfortable and utterly effortless to get along with. It’s not a drivers car, but that’s hardly the point of this type of car and it drives well enough for what it is. Refinement is particularly impressive around town or on the motorway and the ride is supple.

The absence of cabin lighting in the rear is infuriating (come on Vauxhall that’s just tight!) but equipment is good and the tech works pretty well.

Range in average weather is about 200 miles, but the cold and motorway driving massacre that number and make it more like 150. Keep it under 70 on the motorway and it’s better, but for this reason we’d struggle to have it as our main car. The other issue is rear cabin space. It’s a bit of a reverse tardis and the back seat is quite tight - try before you buy!

We charge it at home mostly but have occasionally used public chargers. It always connects fine and charges quickly with fast chargers.

Overall, we’re very happy with it. Might just look at a Volvo EX30 next time though unless Vauxhall rethink their pricing….
