  • Driving it

    2 out of 5 2.0

    What's it like to drive?

Disappointing. For 144bhp, I feel that the Omega is definately lacking - it should be more responsive than it actually is. Lacks mid range grunt and accelleration generally. 'Sport' mode on gearbox makes little difference. Engine does not feel particularly smooth nor is the ride in general. Handles okay. Fuel economy is also disappointing (23.8mpg overall). Want my Carlton back - much better car!!

    What's it like to park?

Okay once you get used to the bulk and size of the thing.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Brake pads at 30k (not a problem, just routine maintainance), tempermental central locking on passenger front door, alarm stopped working, exhaust manifold gasket now blowing when engine cold (goes when engine is warm), strange autobox characteristics when cold.

What's most practical about your car?

    Huge boot

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Climate control
