Would you buy this car again and why?
NEVER, because it is just a waste of money. The hipe surrounding VW's is far too much. The cars are seriously not worth the money and running expense they cost new. Or second hand for that matter
What are you likely to buy next?
Ford (Focus) or Vauxhall (Astra). Hell of a lot better option and far cheaper to buy and to run, even though image may not be as 'classy'.

Did you get a good deal and why?
No. Was seriously ripped off. Somehow got talked into VW's 'Solutions' deal that saw me paying best part of £270 a month over 36 (with a £2k deposit) Then discovered I still owed £6k as final payment. Car only worth £6250 according to VW!!!!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Because of the reputation for quality
What was the dealer like?
Friendly enough, however when looking to change got fobbed off. Told the only car I could afford for £150 a month was a four year old Golf.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Steering is fairly decent, though bodyroll is noticeable even at low speeds. Doesn't like the wet, wobbles all over and the car seems to have an internal battle between the ESP programme and the front wheels.
What's it like to park?
Good, quality steering helps, though rear visability isn't the best

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Oil pump has always been dodgy. Oil needed topping up every 2k. Pump was replaced under warrant. Plugs changed twice but car still runs as rough as anything and has done for two years
What's most practical about your car?
Build quality is ok, thats about it though. Boot is small, rear legroom is a joke and every single bit of interior plastic rattles and squeeks to the point of causing headache
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Nothing, whole car was a serious waste of money
