Maybe that I like quality products, that look good and are enjoyable to use.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Most like it immensely, but a couple of my motorsport type friends find it boring. Which is why we have trackday cars as well!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, for all of the above reasons and because so far, it has no downside. Except that the Golf MK 7 is even better!!
What are you likely to buy next?
MK7 Golf 1.4 TSI. Unless I can afford a Golf GTi or a Golf "R" that is! ie, all the Golf type advantages and not a bit boring.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Used Drive the Deal. Very good price and the transaction was conducted entirely through a VW main dealer. Very easy process and I felt that I was looked after and kept informed throughout. Very happy indeed.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had two Golfs previously, loved both.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent in all respects.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Surprisingly flexible due to diesel like torque from the 1.4 TSI Petrol engine. Sixth gear is not just for motorways, it can be used even around town without straining the engine, it revs well giving a good turn of speed when required. I love the electric power steering, which I found unpleasant in a Vauxhall. It feels typically VW to drive, ie solid, comfortable and with very high quality standard of trim and upholstery. The exterior paintwork is without a blemish.
What's it like to park?
Easy, due to the fact that the nearside door mirror tips down when you select reverse. The car will also steer itself into the space when parallel parking if you want, though I don't use this, as it is so easy to do this yourself. It would be a boon to someone who finds parallel parking difficult.

It is compact, but is also spacious inside and can accommodate five adults in comfort if required.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Self dipping interior mirror and the nearside door mirror moves down to show the kerb when reverse is selected, lovely.
