Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

A good little car really, just badly let down by its poor components. I could put up with its cheap and cheerful nature but not its failure rate. Very odd clutch biting point which probably contributes to the premature wear - not nice to drive in stop/start traffic because of this. I bought it at 24k miles and just under 2 years old, planning to take it to 100k or so but had to get rid of it after 18 months when it had covered 55k as it was simply not fit for purpose. I suspect that the reputation for reliability and long warranty is based on many drivers having a low average mileage. Would not buy a Hyundai again.

How reliable do you find the car?

Poor build quality and cheap components leading to failures with : drive shaft gaiter, clutch, starter motor, flywheel, drivers seat, alternator belt, engine management electronics, door seal rubbers, all bulbs changed twice in last 30k miles, rust on tailgate, broken battery lead. At least £4k pound worth of failures over its first 55k miles. All covered by warranty apart from clutch, flywheel, starter motor paid for by first owner at 20k miles. Clutch again beginning to fail at 55k miles.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Not too bad if it was reliable.
